God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble, Therefore will not we fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea..
    - Psalms 46:1-2

sorry to disagree with you. you know, i wrote an entry about people who call themselves “christians” who always insist on quoting scripture instead of coming up with something original, something of themselves, instead of a quote, by rote, from the bible.
why is it also, that we have to “fear” god? why should we fear our father? what purpose in fearing god, the father? the problem with the combination of the old testament and the new testament is this: in the old, the god was cruel, mean and forced people to believe out of fear—in the new, he sent his son jesus to save us, this showed love, not anger or cruelty, nor the reason to fear.
if i have to fear something or somebody to be able to get solace or “help,” then what is the purpose of it? why have to fear god to receive his blessings and help?
your quote does not mean anything to me, it is out of context and does not even give reply to what i wrote.
